On-Line Youth/Teen Writing Workshop

Do you have a passion for writing? Would you like to learn creative writing from a published children's writer? Check out this on-line, six- week creative writing class just for youth and teens! There are no grades or credits. This one is for you to do what you love....write stories!

Each week a lesson will be delivered to your e-mail. When you are finished with the lesson, send your writing to Mindy and she'll make comments and suggestions just for you and your writing!

Workshop topics include: Creating Believable Characters, Crafting Strong Plots, and Writing great scenes. You'll also be given a host of websites and publishing options for young writers.

Some of your writing workshop assignments include:

1. A two-to-three page character sketch

2.  A 1000 word scene

3. A draft of a 2000 word short story or first chapter to your novel

Workshop Cost: $130

 

Length of Time: Six-weeks

Youth may start any time. The workshop is on-going.

Youth who enroll in the class will be required to complete a registration form along along with a parent signature. The signed registration form must be returned to Mindy before the course will begin.
