 Edge of the Forest

Edge of the Forest is an on-line monthly journal written by Kelly Harold and other writers about children's literature. One column of special note is called, "In the Backpack" which is about what books kids are reading and interviews various librarians across the United States.

 CynStations (Author Cynthia Leitich Smith)

Author Cynthia Leitich Smith has one of the best blogs for book reviews. She has a keen way of knowing which books are excellent books, long before the awards are announced, and always provides interviews with authors. Also of note is her website which provides fabulous information about writing for kids and children's books.

Kirby Larson is a children's writer who lives in Seattle. She is the author of Hattie Big Sky. Kirby's blog often includes information about her writing process and reading the blog is like having a chat with the author about writing. http://www.kirbylarson.com/blog

 Shannon Hale

Shannon Hale, author of Goose Girl, River Secrets, Princess Academy, keeps a blog which varies between personal and writing. At one point, she did post a list of books that she felt all high school students should read and why.
